‘The Garden Web of the human ecosystem’
Microtraining in Germany
Isn’t it fascinating that all diverse elements of a living ecosystem depend on each other! What a wonderful analogy for our society. We can only grow if we take care of each other!
The Kulturlabor Trial & Error organisation in Berlin organised some micro-trainings with the aim to deepen our understanding about soil and the function of community gardens. In particular, the participants addressed the question of how people organize themselves sustainably in order to maintain a healthy, open society. Of course, there was also an opportunity for networking and sharing knowledge with other people. Interconnectivity is all about the question of how people organize themselves and stay open to the community.
Let’s play!
One activity that was particularly popular is called “The Garden Network of the Human Ecosystem”.
This game aims to deepen the understanding of how the different elements of a living ecosystem are interconnected. Each participant is given a card for a different organism or natural element and the group forms an ecosystem.
element and together the group forms an ecosystem of a garden. During the activity, participants look for the other elements they depend on to live and discover how all the participants of an ecosystem depend on each other.
Voices of participants
“A beautiful description of the mutual dynamics within our communities. Communities can prosper only when we take the needs of others into consideration and try to fulfill them with our qualities.”
“I will play the human garden web at my next company retreat to analyze how we interconnect as individuals and how mutual relationships are essential for our team.”
